Tomorrow is "Boss's Day." We non-Boss types are supposed to show our appreciation for our bosses by buying a card or a gift or, I guess, taking them to lunch, or some other act of generosity. Presumably, the sentiment behind this day is, "Thanks for being a great boss!"
I'd like to know when "You're Lucky I Don't Light This Place On Fire Day" is.

Um, that might be tomorrow after 5, you know.
I am sooooo with you on that. I think you could get a lot of support for just such a holiday and enthusiastic festivities to go with it, especially among my co-workers. Nice idea. Just stake out a day on the calendar and I'm there.
Wow, that's funny. I somehow feel torn today. My admin gave me an awesome card and Starbuck's gift card to go with, and I felt very lucky to get such kudos from her. But on the other hand, I didn't even bother getting so much as a card for MY boss. I like him and all but it's just a weird thing, almost more of a "peer" type relationship, even though I report directly to him. I'm just not compelled to go out of my way to recognize him on this day. Should I feel bad?...
